EAS – Emergency Alert System
August 11, 2021 there is supposed to be a test on the Emergency Alert System. It is a national public warning system that allows the president to address the nation within 10 minutes during a national emergency. This system is also used by state and local authorities to notify the public of weather information, threats, AMBER alerts, and local incident information. This is simply a test.

Something to consider…
Don’t wait for “ideal” circumstances before you start something. A farmer is always at the mercy of the weather. Plant while the day shines. You may not know whether planting early or planting late may result in an abundance. Significant things occur in less than ideal conditions. D5 Avalanche (avalanche.org)
The D-scale is an assessment of the destructive potential of an avalanche. Sizes range from D1 (relatively harmless to people) to D5 (could gorge the landscape and is the largest avalanche known). A D4 could destroy a railway car, large truck, several buildings, or a substantial amount of forest.

So why mention D5? Because something BIG is supposed to happen soon with the effect of becoming a D5 impact and it is not a snow avalanche. Let’s be alert and pay attention.
