WORD: UNGUENT
An unguent is a soothing preparation spread on wounds, burns, rashes, abrasions or other topical injuries (i.e. damage to the skin). It is similar to an ointment, though typically an unguent is oilier and less viscous. It is usually delivered as a semi-solid paste spread on the skin, and it is often oily in order to suspend the medication or other active ingredients. During the Victorian era, the use of the unguent macassar oil on the hair became so popular that antimacassars were invented to prevent damage to furniture.

Recession – Layoffs coming for those still working?

WISDOM vs. FOOLISHNESS
There was a wise man who, by reason, wisdom, consistent hard work, and thrift, accumulated a precious treasure of needed items, laying it aside for himself and his family. It was built over time, not wasted, but kept as a supply in reserve.

However, by contrast, a foolish man squandered his inheritance from his parents as quickly as possible upon himself. Their legacy was soon gone into the hands of others, and this thoughtless unwise man was living from paycheck to paycheck again.

Let’s be like the wise man. Start small where you can.

Proverbs 21:20 “There is a treasure to be desired and oil in the dwelling of the wise, but a foolish man squanders it up.” KJV

QUOTE:
”Let it be impressed on your mind that God commands you to choose for rulers just men who will rule in the fear of God… If the citizens neglect their duty and place unprincipled men in office, the government will soon be corrupted…If our government fails to secure public prosperity and happiness, it must be because the citizens neglect the Divine commands, and elect bad men to make and administer the laws.” So how are we doing in electing just men?

ADVICE – “Words of Grandpa” – appearing in The Epoch Times
Live below your means: Share some, save some, spend some. Keep God, others, work, and lifestyle all in balance. We work to have to give to others. Having no debt is a great freedom to give yourself.

The Last Telegram
On July 14, 2013, the last telegraph in the world was sent. The United States had ceased telegraph operations seven years before, but India continued. As text messages and email rendered telegrams obsolete, India’s state-owned telegraph company deemed it no longer financially feasible to continue.
