The FBI misled a U.S. magistrate judge in its request for a warrant to seize $86 million in assets from safe deposit boxes at a privately owned business in Beverly Hills, California, court documents show.

AT&T has won a task order, worth $119 million to modernize U.S. customs and Border Protection’s voice and data networks.

$200 MILLION
Boeing says it has reached a $200 million settlement with the Securities and Exchange Commission over allegations that it deceived its own investors and the public about the safety of its best-selling 737 MAX jetliner.

$900 MILLION
Pharmaceutical giant Biogen has agreed to pay $900 million to settle claims that it paid kickbacks to physicians to encourage them to prescribe its multiple sclerosis drugs, the DOJ announced on Sept. 26.

Afghan Taliban Sign Deal for Russian Oil Products, Wheat

The Taliban have signed a provisional deal with Russia to supply gasoline, diesel, and wheat to Afghanistan, Acting Afghan Commerce and Industry Minister Haji Nooruddin Azizi told media. Russia offered the Taliban administration a discount to average global commodity prices.

Blasts Near Nord Stream Were Explosions, Not Earthquakes, Swedish Seismologist Says

A Swedish seismologist said on Sept 27 he was certain the seismic activity detected at the site of the Nord Stream pipeline gas leaks in the Baltic Sea was caused by explosions and not earthquakes or landslides. The explosions took place in the water and not in the rock under the seabed.

CDC Data Reveal Very Few Eligible Americans Have Gotten the New COVID-19 Booster. Only about 4.4 million, or approximately 2% of eligible Americans, have received an updated COVID-19 vaccine booster dose since the start of September, according to data released by the CDC.
