It is so easy to be wrong – and to persist in being wrong – when the costs of being wrong are paid by others.

The party of old left-wing progressives has become one of rich regressives. And once country-club Republicans are becoming a party of middle-class populists.

66 YEARS
The FBI has asked a U.S. court to reverse its order that the bureau produce information from the laptop computer of Seth Rich, a Democratic National Committee staffer. He was killed on July 10, 2016. So why does the FBI want 66 years to produce the information?
Six years have now passed. What is so necessary to remain hidden?

The Pennsylvania Department of State has allowed at least 249,000 unverified voters to receive mail-in ballots in the 2022 general election. Will this have an affect on the state elections?

HEADLINE: CEOs Warn of Winter Energy Crisis
CEOs during a recent panel discussion warned that an energy crisis during the 2023-2024 winter months could be even more challenging than the coming “difficult winter.” Energy production is considerably less than was available in the first half of 2022. These comments were made by Russell Hardy, CEO of oil trader Vitol as he spoke in a panel discussion in the United Arab Emirates.
HEADLINE: King and Snow Crabs Disappear
The snow crab harvest was called off on October 17, 2022 after surveys show population declined to 1 billion from 8 billion in 2018. For the first time in 25 years, Alaska Fish and Game called off the Bering Sea red king crab fishery harvest in 2021, and again in 2022, due to counsiderable low counts. It is estimated that it could take 3 to 5 years for the snow crab population to recover. In the 2020 harvest, Alaska snow crab totaled more than 36 million pounds and valued at more than $101 million, per National Oceanic and Atomospheric Administration Fisheries data.

5th ELECTION – Israel

HEADLINE: Environmental Destruction in China
Pollution in China remains startling, and reporting of the problems has been suppressed by the CCP. People’s anti-pollution protests have been suppressed, and investigative reporters have been silenced. An investigative reporter, Zhao Lanjian, stated that China’s pollution, groundwater pollution, soil pollution, and other concerns remain incredibly high. Zhao said that he has spent 10 years investigating the ecological status of places along China’s Yangtze River and Yellow River in Qinghai, as well as Tibet and Inner Mongolia. He has witnessed the devastation of the same predatory development model on the natural environment.
The entire natural environment in China is being destroyed. Also, resources for tourism and ecological resources will probably not recover over the next few decades or even hundreds of years. The groundwater in 90% of China’s cities is polluted because of the deep underground discharge of sewage by enterprises. Due to the pollution, there are thousands of cancer villages across the country.

OPINION:
The law of retaliation (lex talionis) should not be applied to private wrongs. But revenge may be essential when another nation attacks us. Now the matter is a public wrong. The subsequent steps should be strong enough to stop any further infringement on our sovereignty by that enemy. God help us. The same can be said for political leaders that have broken the rule of law, acted criminally, and negatively affected the lives of many citizens.

HEALTH AND FITNESS:
Adults and the elderly (over 65) are advised to engage in more than 150 minutes (2.5 hours) of moderate-intensity activity and at least two days of muscle-strengthening activity per week. Walking at a speed of 2.5 mph to 4.0 mph is categorized as moderate-intensity activity.
For each 2,000 daily step increments:
* all-cause mortality dropped by 8%
* cancer mortality dropped by 11%
* Cardiovascular disease [CVD] mortality dropped by 10%
Consider the following immutable facts that so many of us now struggle to recognize and accept:
- We’re born either male or female. No amount of surgery or hormones can change this essential fact.
- We grow old, and we lose our youthful appearance. No amount of surgery or other procedures can change that.
- Our health is impaired by the excess consumption of calories, alcohol, and drugs. We can’t consume whatever we please and expect to remain fit. Having excess body fat is unhealthy.
- Medical science can’t create a pill or shot to relieve every ailment. We have to assume responsibility for our health and cultivate good habits for taking care of ourselves.
- Medical science can’t create a superior substitute for the human immune system. Conventional vaccines work by inducing natural immunity, not by replacing it.
- Medical science can only manipulate nature to a certain point. Certain natural phenomena aren’t amendable to certain bio-technological interventions.
- We can’t receive any satisfying benefit without earning it. If we receive benefits without working for them, we take them for granted and become petulant when we don’t receive more.
The most significant medical advances were achieved by constructing clean water and sanitation facilities and personal hygiene. Vaccines achieved a tiny fracton of the benefit conferred by clean water, public and houshold sanitation and hand washing. For most of us, better health could be achieved by knocking off the booze, slimming down, and getting a good night’s sleep than all the prescription drugs in the world.
