EARTHQUAKE (Nov. 21):
A powerful earthquake of 5.6 magnitude hit Indonesia’s West Java Province on November 21, 2022, killing at least 162 people displacing thousands.

EARTHQUAKE (Nov. 27):
Hawaii’s Mauna Loa, the world’s largest active volcano, is erupting for the first time in nearly 40 years. There have been dozens of earthquakes — one of them a magnitude 4.2 quake — have swarmed the region after the volcano’s summit caldera erupted on Sunday (Nov. 27) night. Officials have issued an ashfall advisory for Hawaii’s Big Island and residents have been asked to remain vigilant.

New Zealand Paves the Way to Lower Voting Age to 16.
Activist group Make It 16 has been advocating for three years to lower the minimum voting age so that it’s in line with New Zealand’s Bill of Rights, which says 16-year-olds and above have the right to be free from discrimination on the basis of age.


Cursive Handwriting Obsolete?
  • While 72% of adults say they read a book in the last year, almost 1/3 are now reading e-books, not hard copy books, according to Pew Research.
  • Handwriting stimulates the brain as we exercise precise control over our fingers even as it deepens our thinking on whatever it is we are writing about.
  • Generation Z has difficulty in reading cursive and nearly 2/3 cannot read and more cannot write it, according to Catherine Faust, former president of Harvard University.

Who Is The Biggest Threat to Democracy?
According to a recent poll conmissioned by The New York Times, 59% of registered voters believer that the MainStream Media (MSM) is the biggest threat to American democracy. To be clear, not social media, the mainstream media.
