FOOD FOR THOUGHT:
We live in a time when more Americans need to wake up to what has happened and is currently happening around us. Perhaps, the Everly Brothers (1957) put it best in another context.
”Wake up, little Susie, wake up
We’ve both been sound asleep
Wake up, little Susie, and weep
The movie’s over, it’s four o’clock,
And we‘re in trouble deep.”
In an article by Aidan Danza, the author states that “90% of the donkey population lives in developing countries, including South America, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. There they are used as pack animals.”

“Here in the United States, donkeys live a more comfortable life, often as pets or standing around pastures guarding herds of sheep, cows, and goats. When a predator comes into these pastures, it’s the donkey’s job to scare it away or fight it, protecting the herd.”
QUOTE:
”When men choose not to believe in God, they do not thereafter believe in nothing; they then become capable of believing in anything.”

QUOTE:
”A society that believes in nothing can offer no argument even against death. A culture that has lost its faith in life cannot comprehend why it should be endured.”
~~~ Andrew Coyne, a Canadian journalist, wrote over 20 years ago about the widespread support for euthanasia in Canada.
FOOLS AMONG US
The lack of good sense and wickedness of some men are incurable. Why? Because they have continued in sin for a long, long time. They are now hardened, unable to think clearly, and incapable of change. They will not grow even a tiny amount of wisdom or become better due to the amount and severity of punishment, regardless of the expressions of disapproval, criticism, intimidation, whippings, or beatings. Their foolishness has become second nature to them. Even the harshest methods are ineffective in prompting positive change. What are we to do with such men but reject them from society? Only the creative power of God’s grace alone can change their lives.
Old Proverb:
”The inner parts of a fool are like a broken bowl, and he will hold no knowledge as long as he lives.”
~~~ Ben Sira, Ecclesiasticus 21:14
Old Proverb:
”Heaven and earth fight in vain against a dunce.”
~~~ Schiller
CONDUCT:
”No one can choose their own parents, or where they come from, but everyone can shape their own character and behavior.”
”The key to good manners is that you should readily ignore the faults of others, but avoid falling short yourself.”
~~~ Desiderius Erasmus (1469-1536)
No human is born wise. Life is hard, but it is harder if you are a doofus. “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”
~~~ James 1:5, NIV
