China Is Heading Into a Decade of Self-Inflicted Economic Stagnation, Say Experts
”The days of Chinese rapid growth – debt-fueled as it was – are basically over,” says Terri Wu. China has slid into deflation after months of disappointing results in several critical sectors, including exports, manufacturing, home sales, and youth employment, which has led to louder calls for the CCP to roll out stimulus measures to kickstart the sputtering economy. The Chinese Communist Party’s official data show a federal debt of about $3.6 billion as of the end of 2022.
“Manhood’s Morning” by Joseph A. Conwell, a 1903 book.
In an article written by Annie Holmquest on healthy masculinity, she commented, “If today’s young men fail to work on improving themselves – their habits, tendencies, beliefs, and sins – there is no hope for our nation at large.” Conwell gave the improvements for young men to follow:
- Be Diligent in Business. A true man saves and practices ‘self-denial,’ creating a good pattern to follow for the rest of his life.
- Fight for Right. A young man show ‘love and sympathy’ to others around them. He should be interested in efforts to correct the evils of intemperance, crime, and lawlessness.
- Pursue the Path of Purity. True men “appreciate their own bodies and especially their sexual natures.” Men who get their sexual lives into a pure, working order will not only benefit themselves, but will set society on the right path as well.
- Show Kindness Toward the Fairer Sex. “Every true man holds sacred the estate of womanhood. Genuine gallantry enthrones all women.” True men recognize that women can bring great happiness to life, and as such, men must seek to win the gift of a woman by having a pure heart and living a clean, guileless life themselves.
- Practice Spiritual Disciplines. Religion is of the first importance for all men. There are at least 3 spiritual disciplines: (1) read the Bible, (2) attend a bible believing & teaching church, and (3) observe the Sabbath, noting that it “was made for man” and that he needs it.
In The Epoch Times opinion piece by Bill Holmstrom, The Cure for Male Depression, he made a good point. “If man does not have God in his life, or worse yet, man believes he is God, he will be doomed to a life of disappointment and depression.” About 30% of the population attends church. Roughly 60% of those attending are women, and 30% are men. Less than 10% of all men attend a church regularly.
